OUR RECENT INITIATIVES

MEDICAL AID TO THE HEART INSTITUTE, KYIV

The Ukraine Alive Foundation transported and donated medical aid to the Surgery Department of the Heart Institute in Kyiv, consisting of post-operative bandages.

MEDICAL AID TO SUMY CENTRAL CITY CLINICAL AND REGIONAL CHILDREN'S HOSPITALS

Support for patients is essential during wartime, as patients still need to be treated. Together with a large Pharma Distributor, Ukraine Alive Foundation was able to supply the administration of Sumy Central City Clinical Hospital and Sumy Regional Children's Hospital with three months worth of medical aid.

AMBULANCE AND AID FOR BORODYANKA CITIZENS

Ukraine Alive has purchased and transported an Ambulance all the way from Spain to the small town of Borodyanka, the area badly affected when it was occupied near Kyiv. Together with the Ambulance, we were also able to transport humanitarian aid to the region.

AID TO CHERNIGIV MEDICAL CENTER OF THE MODERN ONCOLOGY

Support for cancer patients, especially in times of war, is vital as patients still need to be treated. The administration of Chernihiv Medical Center of Modern Oncology expressed their gratitude to Ukraine Alive for providing quick and effective humanitarian assistance, namely medicaments, to oncological patients of their medical institution. Ukraine Alive was able to offer this assistance with the help of a donation from a large Pharma distribution company in Europe, which also has a base in Kyiv.

AID TO IRPIN CENTER FOR PRIMARY HEALTH CARE

Recently, we were able to purchase and deliver a second-hand Ambulance as humanitarian aid to the Irpin region, which was devastated after the occupation by the Russian forces. This Ambulance will now serve at the Medical Centre of Irpin and help people in the region to deliver medical emergency services.

AID TO CHILDREN'S HOSPICE IN KHARKIV

Together with the local volunteers based in Ukraine, we were able to deliver another batch of the required medicine, food and hygiene items to the Children’s Hospice in Kharkiv. With our targeted efforts, the aid reached the Hospice within a few weeks, ensuring that those children that still remain in Kharkiv have access to key life-saving medicine, as well as food. We need assistance from other organisations and donors to continue these types of targeted efforts in the future.

TEMPORARY SHELTER

Back in early March, as mass evacuation efforts were taking place, many Ukrainian women and children, as they reached the Northern border with Moldova, were exhausted. Most couldn't afford hotel accommodation. As a result, together with the local government and local volunteers in Moldova, we organized a temporary shelter for 149 women and children in various accommodation centres and offered food and essentials such as hygiene items and bedding.

FOOD AT THE BORDER

As Ukrainians fled the war zones, we focused our efforts on the overlooked hot spots of Ukrainians crossing the Northern border with Moldova onto Romania and neighbouring countries. We aimed to provide food for all those that needed it, as they travelled on-route to their destination. This effort was organised by local volunteers on the ground, supported by the local government and the donations made to Ukraine Alive. During the peak of Ukrainians fleeing we managed to feed thousands on-route, at the border crossings.
